2. WRT Inc. is an energy market research company. The company provides consultancy to clients in the field of crude oil exploration and marketing in form of reports. The company has a robust IT infrastructure to support the research and marketing operations. For the same, the engineers use open source and legacy data analytics and simulation software. They use Virtual Machines (VMs) to use such software. So far, these VMs have been running in legacy Microsoft virtualization tools. Recently, the company has upgraded to the latest version of the Windows client operating system. After this, the engineers need to use the existing Virtual Hard Disks (VHDs) in the new Hyper-V platform, which is included in the client operating system. Dave, the Desktop Administrator, has been assigned the task to migrate the existing VHDs to the new platform. Dave has analyzed and identified the following tasks to facilitate a smooth transition of the existing VHDs to the new platform: The new virtual machines need to be created in Hyper-V by using the existing VHDs. The virtual machines need to be configured for networking with the corporate network. Multiple disks need to be added to the virtual machine. To begin with, a Windows 7 VHD, Win 7, needs to be configured at the D:\ICTWC\Images location. The VHD for this machine is kept at the D:\ICTWC\Images\Base location. How can Dave perform the task?
