Ruby is a dynamic, reflective, object-oriented, general-purposeprogramming language. It was designed and developed in the mid-1990s by Yukihiro "Matz" Matsumoto in Japan. According to its creator,Ruby was influenced by Perl, Smalltalk, Eiffel, Ada, and Lisp.
